I'd call it: Unassuming Things

I once knew a woman who collected wedding rings -- she wore the rings of her previous husbands on the fingers of her right hand.  (She was up to four when I knew her.)  I would think once men came to know that about her they'd find it intimidating.  Or a challenge.  Come to think of it, there might be a story in that . . .

Anyway, that's not what I'm talking about here.  I collect two unassuming things.  Rocks, because they're one of the earth's artistic simplicities.  And bandanas.

In fact the reason why I selected this particular background for my blog is that it reminds me of a bandana.  I have all sorts: traditional red, hot pink, sage-and-cream, tie-dyed.

I can't pass by a display of bandanas without yearning for one.  Nor can I hike in the mountains or walk on a beach without picking up stones.  Quirky, maybe, but I think it's cool how we all have our little idiosyncratic 'things'.
